How Revisions Work

Tone Adjustments

When to use: Content is good but doesn't match your brand voice

  • Formal → Casual: "Make this more conversational"
  • Technical → Accessible: "Simplify for non-technical audience"
  • Corporate → Personal: "Add more personality and humor"

Example:

Original: "Our enterprise-grade solution facilitates optimization..." Revised: "Our tool helps you work faster and smarter..."

Length Changes

When to use: Content needs to be longer/shorter for your format

  • Expand: Add more detail, examples, or sections
  • Condense: Trim for social media, email, or brief formats
  • Restructure: Change from long-form to bullet points

Example:

Original: 1200-word blog post Revised: 300-word LinkedIn post + 5 key takeaways

Factual Updates

When to use: Information is outdated or incorrect

  • Data updates: New statistics or research
  • Product changes: Feature updates or pricing
  • Context additions: Missing background information

Example:

Original: "Our Series A was $5M..." Revised: "Our Series B was $12M..." (with updated context)

Format Changes

When to use: Structure doesn't match your needs

  • Blog → Email: Convert long-form to newsletter format
  • Article → Social: Break into thread or carousel posts
  • Formal → FAQ: Restructure as question-and-answer format

How to Request Revisions

Step 1: Review Your Outcome

  1. Open the completed outcome in your dashboard
  2. Read through the content thoroughly
  3. Identify specific issues: What exactly needs to change?
  4. Note what works well: What should stay the same?

Step 2: Choose Revision Type

  1. Click "Request Revision" on the outcome page
  2. Select revision category:
    • 🎨 Tone & Style
    • 📏 Length & Format
    • 📊 Facts & Data
    • 🔧 Structure & Flow
  3. Provide specific feedback (see tips below)

Step 3: Provide Detailed Feedback

Good revision requests:

  • ✅ "Make the tone more conversational - like you're explaining to a friend"
  • ✅ "Add a section about pricing comparison with competitors"
  • ✅ "Change the intro to hook readers with a surprising statistic"
  • ✅ "Break the middle section into 3 bullet points for readability"

Avoid vague requests:

  • ❌ "Make it better"
  • ❌ "Fix the tone"
  • ❌ "Add more information"
  • ❌ "It's not quite right"

What Counts as a Revision

Counts as revision:

  • Tone, length, or format changes
  • Adding/removing content sections
  • Factual updates or corrections
  • Structural reorganization

Doesn't count as revision:

  • Minor typo fixes (we handle these automatically)
  • Formatting adjustments (bold, italics, etc.)
  • Simple word substitutions
  • Link updates

Write Effective Revision Requests

  1. Be specific: "Change the conclusion to include a stronger call-to-action with 3 specific next steps"
  2. Provide examples: "Make it sound more like this [paste example] but for our topic"

  1. You can revert to any previous version
