Slack Crew Commands
Run your AI growth team directly from Slack. The /hornethive slash command lets you execute crews, launch pipelines, and get results — all without leaving your workspace.
🚀 Quick Start
Type in any Slack channel where the HornetHive app is installed:
/hornethive analyze my market
The bot acknowledges immediately, runs the crew in the background, and posts results back to the channel when done.

You don't need to memorize exact commands. The bot uses keyword matching — "analyze competitors", "market research", or "competitive analysis" all trigger the Analyst Crew.

Chain multiple crews together with pipeline commands:

Pipeline results are posted to the channel as each step completes.
📤 Results Format
Single Crew Results
When a crew completes, the bot posts:
- Title of the generated outcome
- Summary (first 600 characters)
- Link to view the full result in your dashboard
Pipeline Results
Pipeline results show:
- Overall status (e.g., "3/4 crews completed successfully")
- Per-crew status — which crews succeeded and which (if any) failed
- Link to view all outcomes

If the bot can't match your text to a crew or pipeline, it falls back to the interactive modal where you can select a crew and provide a detailed brief.
⏱️ Timing
- Acknowledgment: Immediate (< 3 seconds)
- Crew execution: 30-120 seconds depending on the crew
- Pipeline execution: 2-8 minutes depending on the template
Results are posted to the channel as an in-channel message visible to everyone in the channel.
🔒 Permissions
- The
/hornethivecommand uses your linked HornetHive account - Crew execution respects your workspace quota and plan entitlements
- Results are posted publicly in the channel — choose your channel accordingly
🚨 Troubleshooting
"Command not found"?
- Ensure the HornetHive Slack app is installed in your workspace
- Check that the app has been added to the channel you're using
No results posted?
- Check your quota — the crew may have been blocked by quota limits
- Look for error messages in the bot's initial acknowledgment
- Try running the same crew from the web app to verify it works
Wrong crew matched?
- Be more specific in your command (e.g., "analyze competitors in my market" instead of just "analyze")
